Viktor & Rolf Spring/Summer 2009
The first fashion house to present their collection online, Viktor & Rolf gained critics and a whole new audience. Shalom Harlow modeled the Spring/Summer 2009 collection and the detail given to each piece by the camera is amazing. It is difficult to see such detail at a live show unless you are one of the chosen few to have a private showing. I am loving their whole collection, it is creative in every aspect from the silhouettes to the textures and to the colour co-ordinations, I'm loving the stilettos, the dresses and the uniqueness that each piece brings to an outfit. Fashion is all about new ideas that necessarily do not have to fit a mold but Viktor & Rolf build a mold of their own from what is expected in the fashion world. Both balance the mainstream with the extravagant and odd well. Anticipating their designs over the upcoming seasons is part of the fun, you never know what to expect which makes them fresh and definite trendsetters.
